How a Solidus verification feels.

Submit once. Get a credential. Reuse it anywhere. Here's exactly what happens from your side of the screen.

STEP 01

Tap "Start Verification"

When a Solidus-integrated service needs to verify you, you tap a button. The verification flow opens — either as a modal in the same tab or as a hosted page at verify.solidus.network. No account creation, no email-magic-link round-trip.

  • Works in any browser, mobile or desktop
  • Service identity verified before flow starts
  • No account required at this step
~5 seconds
STEP 02

Submit your ID

Take a photo of your government-issued ID — passport, driver license, or national ID. Auto-detect crops the document; you confirm the read. Then a 3-second liveness check (blink + small head turn) confirms you're a real person, not a photo.

  • Camera or upload — your choice
  • Face scan stored, then deleted on the retention timer
  • Images are deleted when the retention window ends, not at issuance
~60 seconds
STEP 03

Get your credential

Your verified identity is cryptographically signed and issued as a W3C Verifiable Credential. It lands in your DID wallet — browser extension, mobile app, or an in-flow wallet created on the spot. You see a colorful credential card with your verified attributes and a BBS+ proof badge.

  • W3C VC standard format
  • BBS+ signed · on-chain anchor
  • You own and control the credential
~10 seconds
STEP 04

Present anywhere

At the next Solidus-integrated service that needs to verify you, you tap "Use Solidus credential". Your wallet asks: "Share KYC L2 credential with [merchant]?" You approve. Done. No re-upload, no re-payment, no waiting.

  • 1-tap reuse at every integrated service
  • You choose what to share (selective disclosure)
  • Verifier pays $0.01; you pay nothing
~3 seconds (1-tap)

What we keep, and for how long.

Selective disclosure means you reveal only what's strictly needed for the verification. Everything else stays in your wallet.

Face scans are deleted on a timer

Your liveness photo is used for the liveness check, then stored and deleted automatically when the retention window ends: 30 days by default, and configurable per organisation. The credential itself carries no image.

Documents are deleted on the same timer

Your ID document is parsed for the credential fields and stored under the same retention window, then deleted automatically. The credential carries the verified attributes, not the document image.

You hold the keys

Your DID wallet generates and stores the keys that prove the credential is yours. We cannot issue credentials in your name without your signature.

Common questions.

Your wallet supports social recovery — you set 3-of-5 guardians at setup (friends, family, hardware devices). If you lose access, the guardians can collectively restore your keys. If you didn't set guardians, you can also recover from a seed phrase. Reissuing the credential requires re-verification.

Try a demo verification.

Walk through the full flow with a test ID. Takes 90 seconds. No account required.
